The EQ-i 2.0 is one of the most scientifically validated Emotional Intelligence instruments on the market today. This instrument measures the interaction between a person and his or her environment, then presents results in both numerical and graphical form. The power of this instrument is in how the five Composite Scales and fifteen Subscales (see below) allow an EI feedback specialist to predict with amazing accuracy what behaviors a person is most likely to exhibit and to pinpoint the motivations behind the behavior. The Pearman provides a measure of personality that gauges one’s natural state (i.e., what is most comfortable) and one’s everyday environment (i.e., what is most often demonstrated). Relationships between natural and demonstrated personality types are explored. Further insight is provided by assessing an individual’s flexibility, agility, and resilience using the Pearman FlexIndex™.
The Pearman FlexIndex component assesses the skills and abilities needed to function effectively within and outside of an individual’s personality. The Energy Leadership™ Index (E.L.I.) is a one-of-a-kind assessment that enables leaders to hold up mirrors to their perceptions, attitudes, behaviors, and overall leadership capabilities. The E.L.I. helps give you a baseline for your current performance and situation.
There are two main types of assessments: Personality and Attitudinal. A Personality based assessment, such as a DiSC®, is very valuable tool that pinpoints certain personality/communication styles so that people can have more of an understanding about what their strengths and weaknesses. The E.L.I. is an attitudinal assessment, which is based on an energy/action model. This assessment differs from personality assessments as it is not intended to label a person and have them work well within that label. Instead, it measures your level of energy based on your attitude, or perception and perspective of your world. Because attitude is subjective, it can be altered. By working with a coach using the E.L.I., you can alter your attitude and perspective, make a shift in your consciousness, and increase your energy and leadership effectiveness.
